The audit of the advanced meter manufacturing plant was conducted by Measurement Canada, which accredited the plant back in 2006. According to a Landis+Gyr statement, the accreditation includes both the ability to perform inspections on meters as well as to calibrate and certify meters.

The auditors recognised the Swiss company’s management leadership and manufacturing systems, as well as its approach towards resolving issues with suppliers and products.

Landis+Gyr advanced meters are used throughout most Canadian provinces. With its Gridstream solution platform, Canadian utilities can identify problems in the grid, analyse data from the advanced meters and reduce strains on the grid.

Landis+Gyr operates in 31 countries across five continents and employs 5,700 people.
