Tetra Pak acquires Dutch company


Glattbrugg ZH – The food processing and packing solutions company Tetra Pak has acquired the Dutch cheese mould company Laude. The acquisition strengthens Tetra Pak’s position in cheese manufacturing solutions.

Laude is a market leader in the development and manufacture of plastic moulds used in hard and semi-hard cheese production, writes Tetra Pak in a press release. By acquiring Laude, Tetra Pak intends to strengthen its position as one of the leading providers of complete solutions for cheese manufacturing.

“Laude has established a reputation for providing very high quality moulds and service to the cheese industry. We are delighted to add Laude products to our already comprehensive portfolio, and offer even more competitive cheese lines with guaranteed performance,” says Tim High, vice president at Tetra Pak.

Headquartered in Glattbrugg in the canton of Zurich, Tetra Pak employs over 23,000 people in more than 80 countries worldwide. The company strives to provide “safe, innovative and environmentally sound products” for the food industry. According to its press release, Laude is at the forefront of cheese mould design and supply with its “exceptional performance and durability, coupled with superior hygiene and cleanability standards.”
