The cityactions.org platform will enable cities to share information and find solutions to common challenges related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, writes South Pole Group in a news release. It will also help cities develop strategies against climate change and make urban environments more sustainable places to live.
Urban leaders can use the platform to see what measures other cities are taking to mitigate and adapt to climate change. This will be of value to city authorities, investors, journalists, academics, business and NGOs around the world. “Sharing intelligent, sustainable solutions to our common challenges in cities is key for tackling climate change,” said South Pole Group CEO Renat Heuberger.
The platform is constantly being developed, and South Pole Group will consult global urban leaders on the direction of the platform at two dedicated roundtable discussions during the Paris climate negotiations.
