EarthRate will use South Pole Group’s environmental database to create ratings for companies and investors related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities, according to a news release. EarthRate customers will also be able to measure their own carbon footprint, equipping them with better risk management tools and making such risks more transparent for investors.
EarthRate CEO Päivi Härkönen says his company is pleased that the partnership gives them access to South Pole Group’s global environmental know-how and calls the Zurich-based group “one of the leading players in the field of investment climate impact assessments.”
