Alpiq E-Mobility builds new charging station


Zurich – Owners of electric vehicles in Filzbach in the canton of Glarus now have a new charging station courtesy of Alpiq E-Mobility. The Zurich company cooperated with energy provider Technische Betriebe Glarus on the project.

The new charging station in Filzbach in the canton of Glarus offers users two charging points, each with 22 kilowatts, writes Alpiq in a press release. The station, which according to Alpiq offers an intelligent charging infrastructure, was installed in the vicinity of the Kerenzerberg sports centre. It can be operated by SMS and is available to all users free of charge, explains Alpiq.

The energy provider Technische Betriebe Glarus supplies electricity to around 15,000 people in a total of nine municipalities. It has its own network, helping it to transport electricity to its recipients without interruption.

For its investments in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, Technische Betriebe Glarus relies strongly on Alpiq E-Mobility, acting as its trained partner. This allows it to offer its customers consulting services in the field of electric mobility. Technische Betriebe Glarus also offers implementation support.
