Working with CDP gave the South Pole Group a comprehensive insight into corporate water management, commented group CEO Renat Heuberger in a press release. Building on this experience and South Pole Group’s long-standing work in climate change mitigation, Heuberger concluded that companies would benefit from a sustainable approach to water usage.

However, more than half of the evaluated companies have not taken even a first step towards protecting this valuable resource. At the other end of the spectrum are eight companies that CDP included in its so-called A List, praising them for their approach to water. Of them, three come from Japan, two from both the USA and South Africa, and one from Finland. Alongside Ford and Toyota, two well-known car manufacturers were listed.
