The so-called “Supercharger” quick-charging stations are a further addition to the Tesla network. The new Supercharger plant is located between Bern and Thun in Rubigen in the canton of Bern. It has six Superchargers that can charge up to 50 per cent of a car’s battery capacity within 20 minutes. Alpiq E-Mobility reported that Tesla drivers are no rarity, with already more than 1,000 charges by Tesla drivers registered in certain locations. The company believes the use of charging stations has strongly increased due to current registration figures for Tesla in Switzerland.

Like in other Swiss locations, Alpiq E-Mobility was also responsible for installing the Tesla Superchargers in Rubigen.
