South Pole Group and Corporate Analysis Enhanced Responsibility (CAER) announced their new partnership in a joint news release. The announcement comes on the back of increasing interest among Australian investors about the climate change impact of their portfolios and their ability to reduce related investment risk.

“The conversation about climate change exposure was initially about reputation management for investment funds, but today the conversations have turned increasingly towards the risk of stranded assets and impacts of carbon pricing on portfolio returns”, says CAER CEO Duncan Paterson.

Leading investors have now acknowledged their responsibility and role in addressing climate change, adds Dr. Maximilian Horster, South Pole Group’s director of financial industry. The new partnership with CAER, which has over 15 years’ experience helping local investors develop responsible investment practices, will allow South Pole Group to better promote its investment services in Australia.
