The portfolio acquired by the SUSI Energy Efficiency Fund via a true sale consists of contracting agreements signed between Beghelli Servizi Srl and different public institutions and corporate clients in Italy, according to a press release from the fund. Beghelli Servizi Srl belongs to the Beghelli Group. It operates as an energy services company within the group, which provides energy efficient lighting for both public and private clients. The transaction was signed on 30th September, allowing the fund to become a financing partner for energy saving contracts between public institutions and corporate clients in Italy and Beghelli, as an energy services provider.
Tobias Reichmuth, CEO and founder of SUSI Partners AG, emphasised that the transaction was in line with the principles underlying the fund’s business model. He said that the aim was “reducing the environmental impact on infrastructure or production lines while generating safe and stable long term returns to the investor.” The SUSI Energy Efficiency Fund is currently in the investment phase, deploying EUR 250 million equity for investment opportunities in the European energy efficiency market.
